While everyone seems concerned about racial issues, why is U.S. Rep. Julia Brownley not agreeing to debate her opponent Ronda Kennedy in the 26th District? Is it because she is a Black candidate?

I really hope that’s not the case, but I have to wonder why she hasn’t responded to Ronda’s request for debates by now. This does not seem professional.

In this current climate of unrest and racial tensions, I’d like to know Ronda Kennedy is not being snubbed because of her ethnicity.

I feel blessed to live in a free country. I expect my elected officials to not only represent us, but reflect our shared values, common decency and respect for all people. A congressional race should not be any different.
